Most blood test results are transmitted to the surgery electronically, and are available within 48 hours. Please give adequate time for the results to arrive by post. This will usually be a week, but cervical smear test results can take up to 2 months and will be sent direct to your home address as well.
All results are assessed by an appropriate professional who will leave clear instructions for the patient. Please be aware the reception staff are not allowed to advise patients regarding interpretation of results, as they are not medically qualified.
Results will only be given to the patient concerned unless written permission is given otherwise.
